The Next Big Story

Soledad O'Brien's latest book, The Next Big Story: My Journey Through the Land of Possibilities, is being released today, November 2nd.

From top CNN anchor and special correspondent Soledad O'Brien comes a highly personal look at her biggest reporting moments from Hurricane Katrina, the tsunami in Southeast Asia, the devastating Haiti earthquake to the historic elections and high profile interviews with everyday Americans. Drawing on her own unique background and consciousness as well as her experiences as a journalist at the front lines of the most provocative issues in today's society-and particularly from her work as host of the acclaimed series Black in America and Latino in America-O'Brien offers her candid, clear-eyed take on where we are as a country and where we're going.
What emerges is both an inspiring message of hope and a glimpse into the heart and soul of one of America's most straight-talking reporters.

  1. Good Morning,
Thanks for stopping by my blogsite. I'm so happy to have found you and I am following you too.

  2. Hi There, Thanks for coming to my blog. Please come back anytime.

Glad you enjoyed the book... I don't EVER watch CNN ---so have never seen Soledad, or know about the book.

  3. Excellent reviews. Succinct and to the point. Just what is needed.

  4. Thanks for the visit and the gracious comment on my blog. I know a little about South Texas weather. I reported to USAF Basic Training around midnight on Halloween 1972 and thought I would freeze to death in the T-shirt and Jeans I was wearing when I left the induction center in Richmond, VA. For the next 6 weeks we were peeling clothes off during the day and piling them back on after the sun went down.
